I previously used 3M Marine Finesse-It II polish for an annual touch up on my 35 year old gelcoat, to take off the annual oxidation haze and bring up the shine. That product had a very fine grit to it, so I knew it was polishing. But 3M discontinued it, and they told me that this was the replacement. When I received it, I could tell it didn't seem to have any fine grit to it. But I used it with a yellow 3M wool bonnet with my Makita 9227 polisher, and I was quite surprised that it worked very well. I prefer to paint on the polish to the surface, then buff off with the polisher. The product seemed to lubricate the surface well, and take off the haze well. When the bonnet loads up some, the product washed out of the wool easily with just plain running water.
